Stocks Hall Nursing Home – Skelmersdale

My mum had been in care of stocks hall since Dec 19, from The moment she moved in she was treated with love and respect. The staff have done everything in their power to make sure she was well looked after and comfortable at all times so much that our family felt much more at ease knowing she was finally safe and in good hands.
We as a family can't thank you enough for your commitment and love to mum, you are all amazing and I can honestly say this home is of amazing standard.

Our Dad was admitted here in January of 2017, he passed away in January 2018. Our family have been so impressed with the care Dad received throughout his stay here. The staff are exceptional, caring, professional and very kind., their kindness and care not only involves the resident but is also extended to the family. From the staff in the Reception, kitchen, laundry, cleaners, carers, students and the Nursing teams, we are immensely grateful for everything you have ALL done. With heartfelt gratitude.

As a family we looked at some beautiful nursing homes but none of them had the warmth of the people that we met on that first visit to Stocks. Naturally there were scuff marks on the skirting boards where residents had been moved around but all we observed the whole time we have been visiting Stocks Hall is the gentle movement of people to different rooms while staff reassured and chatted to them. Stocks Hall became like a second home for our family while my sister was a resident. The staff there always greeted us with a smile and friendly words. It was lovely to watch how they treated everyone with respect and genuine care. My sister was bathed and dressed with the care she would have wanted for herself. She had difficulty eating and drinking but they persevered trying to encourage her. The chef spent ages cooking tempting foods for her too. When my sister became very poorly they made another room available for us and provided endless cups of tea and toast. As a family we are so very grateful that Catherine's last weeks were spent with people who really loved her as a sister too.
